***Offical 08/09 NBA thread!***

Lakers fans have been saying that year in and year out, lol!

Will have a shot, but still thinking Celts......or hope the Cavs as they are having a hell of a season.

Spurs are getting healthy though, so they will make it interesting out of the west against LA, but I think the Hornets could do some damage as well.

They looked stellar against you lakers last night, lol!

Lakers will still need to play defense in the playoffs. Let me know when that works for them every night on the court. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Lakers need a PG that can play D. DFish is getting old and slow and Farmar doesn't play D worth a shit. Teams with quick PG's (i.e. Hornets, Celtics) are gonna shred their defense.

bad night to be an Atlanta Hawk player and an embarrassing night if you're a fan...Orlando Magic just putting the ever loving hammer down on teams with defense...The Magic shot 91% from the field for the first quarter and were shooting 78% from the field at the half and 67% from beyond the arc...it was brutal...Hawks were down by 50 at the end of the third...was a great game to be at, after listening to the Hawks talk shit all week and get beat the eff up back to back by Orlando...

with the C's losing the standings are

the east

1. Cleveland

2. Orlando

3. Celtics

the west

1. L.A.

2. San Antone

3. N.O.

the league

1. L.A.

2. Cleveland

3. Orlando

Game winner shot by KB24. It shouldnt have been that close in the first place though. I got to watch the Celtics/Cavs game as well and all I can say is Boston got worked. You can see how frustrated Pierce was with Lebron guarding him. Good to see the Celts lose 7 outta 9.

Fyi, the lakers are 3-1 against both the Hornets and Celtics this season. Not only beating the Hornets, but blowing them out. They should have taken the game a few days ago, but Kobe was too tired and couldnt finish it up.

The Lakers blew the Hornets out both games in the first half. In the last game, Kobe played 43 minutes and 23 in the 2nd half, the team only scored like 15 points in the 4th quarter. If you saw the game, he went OFF in the 3rd quarter giving them a 6-7 point lead, but was burnt out in the 4th.

If you watched both games then you must have noticed the difference in defense.

To be honest, the difference in the defense isnt much, the Lakers still play horrible D then and now. Once they can get their act together on that side of the floor, they will be very difficult to be stopped in the postseason. The Lakers are tied for the best record in the NBA despite not playing good defense. If they played great defense, they could arguable have the best record ever in the NBA.

Man it was awesome to see the Cavs spank the Celtics! Still only undefeated team at home, which I think will keep on going.

Celtics look so depressed right now. I almost feel for them................almost, lol!

Will be a true test when we go up against the Lakers in a week or so. I personally think we are just better. Our D is awesome, or offense is there, only thing hurting us is Z being out for a couple more weeks, although Anderson V has played stellar! Kid plays hard and quickly becoming my favorite dude to watch besides LBJ.

If it was at our home, no question I think we will have it. I still think we can, but will be interesting.

Another test will be NO at our home court though. Can't wait for that game as well.

I think Cleveland is the team to beat as of right now. They are the most complete team both on offense and defense at the minute. The Lakers are right up there, but need to continue working on their D. The Cavs/Lakers matchup definately will be an exciting game to watch.
