So did Kobe, Lebron, etc. Iverson can create his own shot. Billups cannot. In the past 30 years, how many teams have won championships without a superstar? I can only think of one. I have said it before that this is a superstar league and the Pistons needed a superstar. I was hoping for Kobe or Carmelo, but will settle for Iverson.

Detroit had the same players when they won that Championship against the Lakers, unless Larry Brown was their superstar

I said about 2 years the Pistons should trade Billups and I was promoting a trade of Prince and Billups for Carmelo.

Yes that was the one team to win without a superstar. When the Pistons lost to Wade, Lebron, and Pierce, I think they got the hint it isn't working anymore.

Stuckey is also a younger version of Billups. The addition of Stuckey made Billups tradable.

Iverson had more assists so how is Billups more of a team player? A lot of people in Detroit have questioned Billups leadership saying he lacked effort.

Dude, how many times did you state how much you loved Billups? Hell, I wouldn't know his nickname was Mr. Big shot if it wasn't for you, but he is very good when pressured in big games, so I understand.

Iverson is just another high scorer in the league. He really don't have much to offer besides being a ball hog. Eventually he will get pissed or someone else that don't have a cool head.

Where in the hell do you think Detroit screwed over McDyess? he obviously won't return to Detroit if they don't buy him out because he can't. This happens in the NBA all the time. McDyess may not have a chance to go back because of what Chapman is doing. Unless they buy out his contract, then he stays a Nugget, correct? I am just saying, for someone who wanted to finish their career in the D, I am just surprised. Who knows what will happen, but odds are he is staying a Nugget.

Are you serious about him managing a game better? Hell, I just heard it on ESPN how they mentioned it. He just is a smarter player and is more clutch to boot. You say Billups is on the decline, but I think Iverson is more on the decline. And he makes smarter decisions with the ball. Only reason Iverson scores so much is because he ball hogs so much. Yeah, he has a lot of assists, but he makes a lot of bad decisions, when Billups don't.

We will see how it pans out. I am sure Iverson will score his 25 a game like he did last year with another superstar player on his team and they still didn't do shit.

Now he is on another team where he will be the mucho superstar, but see how it goes with Hamilton and Prince and Wallace. I am interested to see how well they all work together.

I still think it was a bad trade now, but maybe better for their future even though I still don't see Bron going to Detriot, even if it is 3 plus hours away. That was like when he rooted for the Yankees at the Cleveland game. Someone will murder his ***!

And that was the only reason why I respect detriot as much as I hate them. They do win a lot...........with just decent players and no superstar.

You are right, it is a superstar league and welcome to the club. I think you were better off the other way around. Least it gave you guys character.

Ok you didn't explain how Billups manages a game. Billups is not clutch. Yes he his made his share of buzz beaters. If he was clutch, the Pistons would've won game 6 against Boston. Billups disappeared in the 4th quarter and the Pistons blew the lead and the game. Iverson on the other hand, has the ability to create his own offense and get his shot. He also has the ability to score in the paint which the Pistons need, and he draws fouls. Iverson takes more shots because he has the ability to create his own shot. Billups cannot do that. Kobe, Lebron, McGrady, Arenas, Carmelo have taken more shots per game then Iverson did last year so are they all ball hogs? Iverson averages only 8 more shots per game then Billups in almost 10 more minutes per game then Billups. Per 48 minutes, Billups average 16.9 shots per game, Iverson 21.8 a whole 5 shots more per game //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I never talked about Iverson because there wasn't any rumors about Iverson going to Detroit. I talked about Carmelo and how I would like Carmelo. Yes he isn't the 30 ppg player, but he's still a 25 ppg player who can create his own offense.
