And, guess what? You can't even get a recone for it. The magnet became unglued from the top plate and there is no way to realign it unless you demagnetize it, align it, then remagnetize it again.

I hve fixed several top plates without demagnetizing the motor. It just takes the right sized shims and a hammer.

How in the world would you get it to stay centered though? If you were to bump it you would be screwed again. I've still got mine sitting in my room under my bed.

it is a easy fix if u know what ur doing to fix the top plate. hellz i have even taken the top plate off & machined it and put it back together.

all i do is spin out a piece of delrin(almost industrutible plastic) the size of the gap put a taper on 1 end. hammer it down and it is centered. get some long 6mm screws and run them into the top plate raising it off the magnets and throw some 2 ton epoxy under ,lower it, let dry over night and ur set.

ur motor wouldnt be hard, anything over 7.5" motor is harder to do motor is really strong at that point...
