I love Image Dynamics products. Most all of their subs that i have tried are super efficient with the power you feed them and produce very flat natural sound! I would look into a nice 10" or 12" IDQ!

I agree but I would not call them flat but they are natural.

Right now I'm thinking about a IDQ12V3.D4 12" sub. Bigaudiofanati2 and I will likely make a custom box eventually, but I'll probably get something prefab to hit the ground running. Anyone have any recs besides the groundshaker 12" sealed box that woofersetc sells for $70 right now?
