Notorized letter?

So I want to go dirtbike riding with my buddy. If you are under 18 years old, you have to have a letter from your parents stating that you can ride, and it has to be notorized. Another buddy has an aunt that can do it, but incase that doesn't come through, what other places notorize stuff?

banks can notorize stuff as well. at least the one i go to. or if your mom happens to be a court reporter like mine does, you can have her do it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So what do I have to do, just take the letter to them?
The person signing the letter must take the letter and sign it in the presence of the Notary Public. So, if the letter is supposed to have your parent's signature notarized...then your parents need to go to a notary public with the letter and sign it in front of the notary public.

The Notary is essentially verifying that they letter was signed by the correct person. Hence the reason it must be signed in front of the notary and the person signing must have proper identification (driver's license, etc).

You, the child, can not take a pre-signed letter to the Notary and ask them to notorize the document. They won't do it.
