If you wired the amp down to 1 ohm, then definitely turn the loudness off, and reset the gains and tuning on the amplifier.

I'd recommend getting a new amplifier, like many have said, that supports the running safely of a lower ohm load.

Noway do ur shitty rf p2 10s get louder than a l7 15, unless the install is terrible, even than it's hard to believe urs would be louder.
There is to many noobs giving poor advice in this theard.

Op.

1. Get a amp that does 1500-2000wrms @ 1ohm.

2. Build a porter box built to specs.

3. Do required electrical upgrades. Big3 and couple big batts. Also +/- in 0/1 gauge.

well your definately not getting 1500 rms to the sub at 4ohms. Maybe 500. I havent heard many good things about pheonix gold putting out rated power. get a new amp that is 1 ohm stable. what is your electrical like

The Octaine Amplifiers were junk. Once Rodin got ahold of Phoenix Gold they started to come back. RSD and Ryval amplifiers are pretty solid for the money.

What you really want to do is bring it to a professional installer who's been proven, and have them fix it. Getting someone who knows what they're doing is worth every penny. Seriously, if you're just getting into car audio, then it's not a good time to be doing the work yourself.

I have to start somewhere,also I don't want to pay someone to adjust my amp,those guys charge ridiculous prices,I rather learn myself.Thanks for your opinion tho.

Get yourself a couple decent batteries, one for the front, one for the back, 0/1g wiring kit to wire everything up and if need be do the 0/1g big 3......which there is a thread on here to help you out and find a decent 1-ohm amp. Like others mentioned Hifonics or the like and should pwn your friend with out question. Oh and make sure you have a nice custom box.
