Really though?
I was kidding... kind of though... I'd much rather talk about subs and 4000w amps than where and at what angle I should mount my tweeters so my sound system produces an apparition of the band directly above my center console.

I can agree on that but the way I read it... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

But, I like some mids and highs man. I'm content with what I have all around, but I always want to improve. Subs = loud, midbass = great, mids = loud, highs = great.

This forum has always been light on the SQ side of things. Mainly because SQ is a very very small minority and it is truly hard to find them. Even the ones that seem to have all the answers are not very forthcoming with much of the truth, other then what they think has worked for them. Basically SQ is dead unless someone starts using some sort of rta or other equipment to test with, all of this human judging is killing sq as a sport.

Meh, what am I saying...sq is always going to be personal preference anyway.

SQ really is more of an art form, most people don't want to take the time and effort to perfect a sound stage. It's also not very appealing to many people to dump thousands of dollars into just components and multi channel amps.

pm'd you, btw.

I agree, no one wants to spend that kind of money unless they are competing. SQ competing is pure bs(and I even judge it).. where else can you compete, change nothing, and score two different numbers entirely. One may put you in first the other in last.

I haven't checked many pm's yet. I trying to work though em now though. Last night brought me several pm's lol

What happened to measuring the response curve of the system over a range of frequencies? I thought they did that. Is it not possible to also to test for distortion with the system reaching a minimum decibel reading?

It is a horrible system to think that subjective judging will produce accurate results, though.

Nah just wanted to post what my future is on here. The audio discussions on here are meh and the dome is on and off. I love this place and the trolls in it but, when I start getting into SQ this is not a forum too friendly and informative to that.
I beg to differ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Seriously worth repeating. Could not agree more.
