Not happy with my Alpine CDA-9885

Actually I had typed something else but thought it to be better not to respond at all.
FYI. I have no problem with you. Not really sure why you have one with me.

In any event. Unsubscribed. I'm not into flaming wars.

knew this would come in handy.

There have been issues with 880 noise. There is a thread on how to avoid it. Most now has been chaulked up to user error and the way Pioneer manufactured the unit. I will find the thread I saw and post a link on the discussion. The noise is avoidable so I wouldn't count the 880 out.
Here is a link about the 880 noise issue.

Many thanks genxx, that's very good info right there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome just helping out. You asked also what is the difference between the CD7000 and 7100.

The 7100 adds 8volt pre-outs, Bluetooth and usb IIRC.

Did I miss something, are you using an amp?

Pardon my ignorance but I would never power a 3way setup with deck power and blame the sound on the deck. Give those speakers some juice and see if the "punch", "warmth" or "dynamics" come back. The Pioneer and Alpine have different capacities in the amp area of the HU.
