So I thought I would try here. I have 2 Eclipse Ti 12's and am goint to run ported. Now the question. I have heard mixed reviews on the box size. 3 ft a piece Then 1.5 a piece. The tuning I am thinking between 32- 35. This will be backfired in a Pont G6 sedan. Can someone please help me with some info on the box size of these. I am looking for excelent spl whilt still maintaining some sq. I will be entering in some local db drag events. I know I won't win my class but I still want ti put up some decent numbers. I might build an spl box too. How about the tuning and size for an spl box too. Thanks for the help.

build a 3.0 cu ft box and port it at 40 hz for spl.....
build a 1.5 cu. ft. box tuned to 32 hz for daily driving.... take your pick.
Thanks. I will do both. Do you think that 50 is too low for the spl? And has anyone even gotten their Ti's metered? I will be honest I have never even heard these subs in person. Just word of mouth. The word of mouth came from an x spl world record holder though.

noone can tell you what SPL frequency to use for your car. Every car even the same make and model has a different resonant frequency. Its all build and meter, recut and meter

I think this is the box I am going to go with. It will fit ferfectly and leave me some space on the sides of the box for the air to travle into the cab.

that is one of Moe Lesters plans stickied in the box forum

joey i say the only way to find what you want is to build and test, build and test until you get what you want out of it

worst case scenario you have a few extra boxes laying around that you mybe can sell if you need the cash

Yeah I guess you are right. I will Just use the bigger ones if they don't sound like I want and just tune higher and use as spl. I will be hitting a couple comps so The meter will like the higher freq.
