Not EVERYONE can be stumped with this!!

Okay, I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado....it has the steering wheel controls for the radio...Now I know there is that add on module that will make the factory steering wheel controls work, but here is my main concern that no one can tell me. My steering wheel also has controls for my trip odometer, oil life, etc etc etc. If I use an add on module to get the steering wheel controls, will these also stay working? Or even better yet, if I don't care if my radio controls work, will my other ones continue to work without the module?

if i remember correctly from when i installed one of those modules, you are connecting perticular buttons to the device, any other buttons are simply left untouched and thereby unaffected.
