not excluding the rest of Michigan but 3-4 hrs seems to be too much...lol

We in Oscoda have been kicking around the idea of a Car Audio Club/Team to keep all of us in touch with each other. Since we are way to scattered up this way.

We just have to get with people in our community to start up a sponsorship and such. We'd like to have monthly dues and the whole nine but we also want to keep it general and fun. Right off hand we seem to have a good idea of what the money goes for so that no one is getting rich such as...the team pot.

We'd like to keep it as hanging out but for our idea to work we as a team will need coin. Everyone pays into the pot a month which gets materials to get a certain member/teammates in a certain category to a show, apparel, and get this a Clubhouse.

We thought of offering up our install bay for members only also. Access to all the tools, the TL, and whatever you would need it for. This could be on the weekends or during the week but we would need patience and understanding to control that. Every member would get 1 week out of the year in the bay if they need it to work their build and have teammates on hand to help.

Its a forum and I don't want to keep dragging this on but we are also interested in our shop carrying some stuff so we need opinions.

what are we looking at as far as monthly funds, im near leister and im not sure how far away you are, but i would love to rep the team, spread the word, try to recruit some members, maybe sport some shirts or stickers around to get the name out

but i wont be able to make it that way a ton, but i could when i would be able to, i just dont wanna be paying monthly and see nothing in return.

to me, if you wanna have a team and help rep your shop, it should be more of a thing where we would rep the shop, get the word out, try to send business your way, and not have to pay a price, but maybe a discounted price to use the shop and install bay, maybe pay a slight discount on some products through your shop, such as install accesories (20% off), amps/subs/hu's/components/speakers (5% off).

therefore we are getting our part of repping your shop, and you are also getting your part by us buying equipment (even at a discounted rate), and the business we send to your shop.

you could offer extra or more discounts for people that send more business your way and so on.

either way i would like to do it, but it feels to me unfair that we are paying towards the "team pot" to be part of the team and at the same time getting the word out on your shop, and getting you business.

it just feels to me like we are paying to advertise for you.

Most people are down. Thats the easy part.

It all works on participation. We are not SPL leaguers but would like the type around to give us the scoop. More of a daily system environment to get it going.

We have some interesting things starting up here so it would be cool to group up and start something.

I understand what your saying 100% but I really already have the equipment I need, I just really want to see team help with my install as how teams say they will help their team mates. Thats just my focus is to learn more from the team members.

lol, yes, yes we do. I would be able to make it down there every so ofter atleast. i plan on going into Wisconsin next year and competing.

Amount is undecided and we hate to have money be the issue but....you know.

We're trying to get local sponsors for some stuff but members would get items at dealer cost and discounts etc....

Like I said its just a toss around idea sort of thing right now but legal documents and all will be made up to keep it fair.

NO ONE PERSON PROFITS FROM THIS. Team money runs team events, show runs, food, lodging....etc. We figure 50 members for our shop to give 1 week a year to team members.

Then it could turn into a chapter thing where you won't have to drive as far but you and other team mates in your area have the same thing happening...etc we just represent everything as a team and so on
