Well, I'm on the G35 forum and I help out the guys over there with an audio questions and whatnot. Some guy was asking how to keep his rearview mirror from rattling so much. I gave my advice and shared my experience and whatnot, such as when I got sick windshield flex at around 145 dB on music when I had my custom DD 9515d in 5.5 cubes ported tuned to 38 Hz off a Soundstream XXX6500 and my windshield wipers weren't able to properly wipe off the rain.

This guy responds and says "Nothing flexes at only 145dBs, let alone the windshield, unless it's made of 1/8" plexiglass."

I so wish I had videos when I had that setup, or even when I had my Treo SSX 1500.1 hooked up to it. It disturbs me that there are people on non-car audio forums who think that just because they know a few audio terms that instantly makes them a guru.

yeah, i certainly dont claim to know a ton but i know the basics, or i know where to find info when i need it. right now im helping my teenage cousin setup a system and its tough convincing a teenager what he needs like battery terminals, advantages to the Big 3, quality box, etc. when hes never heard anyone mention this stuff before.

hes been good for the most part, gave me his credit card and said order stuff for him. haha its been kinda fun.

I'm not an expert, just merely a "do it your self dumbass" as I refer myself, but I know enough to talk. A couple of my friends on the other hand, complete idiots. My friend has a 1991 Sentra, with a PYLE 15" "400rms" woofer and a Walmart Pioneer 2 channel, and he thinks he's the shit. I told him to deaden his shit, but he tells me it will make his "system" quieter and not as loud. His shit rattles so bad, his roof still vibrates when he puts his shit on pause.

The other day he saw my 25' run of Kicker 0/1 Hyperflex, and he swears to god he needs it because he can get louder with bigger wire.

He signed up on the forum, but he won't poast because he knows everyone will east him alive and flame his *** for ever.

lol i had one of my friends listen to my system and he instantly says "just get a cap and itll sound SO much cleaner" i laughed a little and told him "no.. it doesnt really do anything" "oh yes it does man! trust me i know" i told him about the 250amp alt i just got and some specs on my system and he looked a little dumbfounded and said "ya, ok. you know what your talking about" lol. i love it when my friends try to talk to me about audio.

the problem is some "professional" shop owner told him that cause he was trying to sell him a 200 dollar stinger cap and since a "professional" said that its tough to convince them he was full of BS.
