noob question

How exactly can you tell how many amps you are pulling..... I ask because im not sure what fuse to buy for my fuse holder. Say i was running two amps a pa 3000db and a pg 200.4. What do i need to know or look for to tell me how big of a fuse i will need?

It is my understanding you fuse to the power wire you use. IE: 1/0 would need between 250-300A fuse.

Dont "just" get a 250 amp fuse. What guage wire do you have? If you dont have 0 guage wire dont get a 250 amp fuse.

Add up the fuses on the amps and see what it comes to. That is the MAX you will ever pull (probably not even close on a regular basis). If you start popping 250A fuses, you probably have a problem somewhere else (on 1/0 wire).

nobody mentioned that the PA3000 doesn't have internal fuses. i'm running a 250a under hood and 150a just before amp

I have never dealt with that amp in person, so I can't tell you what to fuse the dist block at. But the fuse under the hood is to prevent a problem with the power wire you run to the amps.
