Police Find Man's Body, Guillotine In Wooded Area

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The body of a 41-year-old man was found in a wooded area next to a guillotine he built and used to kill himself, police said.

The man, from the Detroit suburb of Melvindale, was discovered Monday by workers from a shopping center near his home.

Groundskeeper from the Fairlane Green shopping center at Outer and Fairlane drive discovered the body shortly before 11 a.m. Monday.

Allen Park Deputy Police Chief Dale Covert said the roughly six-foot tall guillotine was bolted to a tree and included a swing arm. Covert said police also found several store receipts detailing the materials used to assemble the device.

"I can't even tell you how long it must have taken him to construct," he said. "This man obviously was very determined to end his life."

According to investigators, the man had to make several trips to carry the wooden and metal parts to the area in the woods.

Covert said the man lived within walking distance of the spot where he died.

Police said the man, whose identity police have not released, had been dead for two days.

The man did not leave a ******* note.

I can go see if the guillotine is still there. You'd only have to dress up in Ohio State colors.

Since when did this forum go all emo? If your girl broke up with you, the quickest way to get over it is to find another one. If other shit is bothering you have a beer, chill out, and realize things can ALWAYS be worse.

I just got informed I'm taking a 10k/yr paycut at work for no good reason, it sucks but I'm not gonna be a nancy about it. Instead of wasting time complaining its smarter to spend the time trying to change your situation so it doesn't **** as bad.

Oh, and that beheading guy is one creative, dedicated mf'r. Good for him.

Seriously, I've been through this before... a few times... and it's sucked before. But the past times, I've known I could find a better girl... I knew there were plenty more out there, and there was another better for me.

This time, I'm not so sure... and that's what scares me the most. Losing her completely.

I've gotten over the emo stage, I've accepted it. I completely over-reacted... all she wants is a break. A break, that's it. She needs some time and space, and I'm now ready to give it to her.

I feel a lot better today, and I still don't love life... but I'm ready to continue the day to day grind. I'm not over it, everything I look at reminds of her... when I close my eyes I see her. But, I can take a step back and see that's what she needs.

The more time you invest in a chick the more its gonna hurt as a loss, unfortunately just how it is. Will/can you find somebody new and better, more than likely. Sometimes new in itself is better. It'll take time, but don't let the sulking get in the way of any new opportunities. I've been there and have regrets on not moving on opportunities I should have because I was *****ed out about the last relationship.

...and not to be debby downer but in my book "just a break" is just not havin the balls to actually break it off.

The funny thing is... of my main relationships I've had two 2.5year... and this one has been a month shy of 1.5years... and this is the one I'm most worried about and the hardest to get over...
