At that point, your own safety and other people around you should be the only thing on your mind, not whether or not the car is going to come out in one piece. Trying to save stuff instead of people is when things go wrong.

My question is why didn't he throw the thing in neutral? Let that ***** bounce off the rev limiter and then bring it to a stop. Is that not an option on the prius? I mean what kind of gear shifter is in those things?

Top speed of a Prius is somewhere around 100 iirc. Probably takes an hour to get there..but it can be done.

I don't get how hard it is to 1. Put the car in neutral. 2. Turn the car off. 3. Just floor the brakes.

Your car won't be happy, but common sense would say Toyota is paying for it.

Toyota now states that have inspected the vehicle and have no reason for the malfunction. I still say the old moonbat driving it should be confined to a motorized scooter at best. Idiot.
