My friend's girlfriend's mom died yesterday. I have known her (the girlfriend) for about 5 years and have met her mom on several occasions. I plan on going to the funeral and everything. I am just curious about my role in the situation.

Thanks. It's crazy. I don't really think about parent's dying and stuff. I haven't got all the news and such. I am just curious about should I be more 'there' for her or for him. I don't want to be 'there' and encroach on his being there, at the same time I don't think you can be 'there' for another guy. Strange day this has turned out to be.

It will be uncomfortable situation regardless. They always are. Stick by the girl, as your friend isnt the one primarily suffering a loss.

She got her boyfriend, which is a really good friend of mine. I know he will be there for her. I suppose I should go and just chill I guess.
