what if you did nothing and just left them the EXACT same.

there's plenty of pressure, it's the same as if they were both side by side on one face of the box, except you're probably going to lose some low-end response, because the sound waves are going to couple weird unless you put the box sideways in your car

and btw, reversing phase is hooking up positive and negative speaker wires in reverse

No it wouldn't? There's no rear chamber. It's just a sealed box with one of the subs inverted...

that's if they're out of phase of each other

wiring out of phase means switching the positive and negative wires around to make the sub move the opposite way.

i guess they could be out of phase and still be mounted regular....or reverse mounted wire in phase but really out of phase...

the subs would handle 1/2 their rated power, and cancel each other out to boot

do it if you want, it's the amazing ZERO PRESSURE SUBWOOFER

if one is regularly mounted and the other is inverted, if you wire one out of phase then it would work as normal. /thread
