We are currently building one direct bolt in alternator for your vehicle in

our G Series.

270 amp G series unit

400 rpm turn on speed

165 amps @ 500 rpm

Full output by 1800 rpm

Pure copper rectifier

6 press fit 65 amp diodes

$449 plus shipping

Not liking the idle but its the best so far, still waiting on EA and DC

That's exactly why I went with DC. Mechmans price sure was nice but the idle amperage was terrible. DC was best in my situation.
I emailed nate over at excessive because he always emails me back in a few hours an told him to check his darn email and respond to ppl quotes. Hopefuly he gets back to you.
Awesome thank you guys, hope they both get at me with awesome, good-fit alts!

Problem isn't brand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif it's amps :/
My point was that your limiting factor is size. Pick one of the reputable brands that replies to you and treats you right and go with them. You have a half dozen listed here and I can assure you under real-world conditions, size being equal, they'll all give you pretty much the same performance.

People lay far too much stock on big numbers in marketing.

So far the only good one is a singer 240 (~220 hot) so I wanted to know what is the recommended rms for it (nothing precise just average i'm definitely not full tilt 24/7 nor loud at idling) and I can add 31s in the back

I know a guy who runs 4 American Bass 500.1's at 18V on just a single alternator (and like 16 big batteries). As others have said it's largely going to depend on your listening habits and other variables that you'll have no control over. Buy the biggest alternator that'll fit from a reliable company and add batteries until it does what you need.

Exactly! Waiting on DC and EA now, hopefully they'll have something larger than 240

I run 10KW of sub amps and I doubt my alternator does more than that. In fact I never even asked what it would do, just asked for the best one that could fit in my factory location. Again, I think people put way too much stock in just being able to throw around big numbers.

Forgot to mention! Just realized something... This was singers quote:

The upgraded unit that I offer for your vehicle is a 220A/240A tested peak output before heat (140A output at idle for a 800 rpm rotor speed on a 3-1 pulley ratio). This alternator is a direct bolt on design for your vehicle and would plug in just like the factory alternator (comes with overdrive pulley to boost idle output between 30-40A more then the stock size).

The total price on this unit shipped w/ my lifetime warranty on labor is $489

I guess so far mechman is winning!

I guess everyone was busy with sbn XD

Hello Andres, it doesn't look like we have anything that matches that alternator type. We can likely develop this unit, it would be a 320 SPX-i for $749.95. I would take 2-3 months to develop if a core was found.

Iraggi Alternator Online Store

So it's between Mechman for a 270 and Iraggi for a 260.

What do you guys think?
