what branch?? Ive been going back and forth between army and af, im probably going to go with af simply because of the retirement...

Depends. The retirement benefits are the same regardless of service. I'm in the Army and enjoy it. My wife is in the Air Force and she loves it. If I could do it all over again though, I would choose the AF in a heartbeat. Their people get treated so much better. But at the same time you are kind of known as the pussies of the military. My wife has been in 4 years and her and all the other AF guys I know only ever shot a rifle once in basic. The Army you do a lot more manly type stuff with shooting and blowing stuff up and all. But you get treated like kids a lot of the time also because when one person messes up in the Army, they punish everyone to try and prevent it from happening again. The same thing happens in the AF and they just punish the one person and expect that no one else will do it cause they are adults.

Really? I mean.... I've got nothing against people that just buy a little system for an upgrade. But someone that spends a disgusting sum of money to have someone install their system, and then call it their own, and then actually compete with it and brag about it? I lose some respect for them. Especially when they start charging for demos. Buying your system to meter it... It's like buying a diploma or something.If I'm wrong though, and he doesn't compete with it, or brag about it, or charge for demos... then he's all good. That's just my opinion though.

If they admit it is not their work, and are not competing then I have no issues with it. In fact I encourage it, if that is what they want but they do not know how or what ever their reason is. Why should we discredit them because they have less knowledge or lack the ability to build something? I just don't understand the view that if you don't install it..your crap. That is a horrible way to think and is very narrow minded.

Not really. As the vast majority of who I build for do not compete or care to. They also do not post much if they even get on the forums.

I have never had an issue with people paying to things installed, this goes back long before I built enclosure or did large installs.

I would love to do it all. Living in a condo with no garage hurts that. Also a off and on deployment schedule. i would really like to save a ton of cash and put it somewhere else

You at Campbell? Army? What is your MOS? I'm actually in Kuwait now. Boring as hell here. They make everything so much harder than it needs to be. I asked to go to Afghanistan but they wouldn't let me cause I broke my ankle and need surgery again. Go figure the Army jacked up my first surgery that was supposed to fix it

im getting tired of all of it right now. thats why my build has slowed down significantly over the past couple months. installing for everyone else and yourself doesnt help at all....

So true..ask our demo truck...poor thing is half ripped apart and been that way for months.
