neeed serioussss help i just got 4 channel profile CA640 amp...hook it up to my speaker..i just hook one to test it out because i didnt have alot time....but i dont hear the different between them hooking to HU and the new amp. the amp is 70x4 at 4ohm...speaker is infinity 693.5i thanks!

Yes. And then when you get some money saved up, pick up some cross overs and maybe an equalizer, then you will not say they sound the same; and if you do, you are a homosexual with a penis in your ear.

By turning up the volume.

Jmac is saying that 18 watts from an 18 watt-per-channel head unit sounds pretty much the same as 18 watts from a 70 watt-per-channel amplifier. If you go beyond 18 watts of output, though, the head unit will begin to distort. The amplifier won't.

My friend bought a Profile amp from crutchfield and hooked it up to his CDT CL-61's and it didn't sound that great. I think the Profile amps just aren't that great.
