no bass wtf?

I have an rl-p d2 and orion 600d and a hifonics bx605, so today i get in my truck and i have no bass...so i thought it was the amp which was an orion 600d since ive been having problems with it. When i turned it on i heard a "click" so i was like ok must be the amp....so i got out my hifonics amp and changing them out and still no bass. I tested thw power and remote wires which read about 13.5v so the power,rem, and ground wires are fine, so i tested the RCAs which read about 30ohms, so i guess those are fine, but i dont know what they are supposed to read. I also tested the sub which read 1.2ohms, so i think that is fine, but im not sure what its supposed to read, i think if it was blown it would have read higher, but i cant remember. I checked my cd players setting to make sure something didnt get changed and the eq is all set at zero, sub out is +6,and the bass is at +2.

what about gain, cross over, LPF ? wires to the sub

what do you mean wires to the sub?

gain is a little less than 1/2 and the lpf i usually try to set at about 80hz

i also test the sub with the batt and it works fine tested it both ways moves all the way in and out

Can I assume that the 600D is the amp for the subs? I don't know crap about Orion, but at 1.2 ohms, it might be to low. The amp might only be stable to 2 ohms. ??????

1.2 ohms is way low, might have toasted your amp bro, not to many can handle 1ohm loads.

It has D in the modle # so I would assume it's a class D amp, in which case the majority of class D amps are stable to 1 ohm, some are only stable to 2 ohms.

That amp is rated at 1ohm.

I suspect a wiring problem.

yeh it was wiring RCA cable came lose behind the cd player, i used the DMM to test the volts on the RCAs and it didnt read anything so i pull out the cd player and saw that one side was lose

yeah i have a 600d and i've never had problems with it, i run it at .5 ohms every once in a while....sure its not ur deck maybe?

like i said the RCA came loose from the cd player....i already fix it, but i have had probs with it cutting off at random times even after 5min of play and it wont even be warm...does it more often with the windows up
