no bass without bass boost

Its a pioneer amp powering a type r 12. With bass boost on +12 db it hits so hard the doors and windows flex, and it sounds good too. without the bb it sounds like a factory system. its cranked and the sub is barely moving at all??? I know its not normal. can someone please help me out?

It's 380wrms. Yeah, the bass boost is a switch, +0,+6,+12. the gains up 3/4 of the way. Close, its the gm-520t:eyebrow: could it be the head unit (pioneer wal mart) has too low of an rca output voltage?

u shud check 2 make sure u r using the correct rca jacks comin from the head unit and also check all ur settings such as fader, loud, balance, etc.

The subs wired to the right impedance. the problem is i can't get the gain high enough. Is the anyway to boost the signal from the rca's? or should i ditch the rca's and use the high level inputs? maybe i should just get a new amp. anyone have a suggestion for a dual 2 ohm type r?

turn up your gain

again turn the gain up, if you have bass boost on and your not clipping when youturn it up, you must have a weak signal going to the amp. turn the gain up
