No Bass...Please help!!!

Heres my setup:

Pioneer D-3

2 12" Type R's Dual 4's sealed box

Alpine PDX 1.600

I just got the amp and got everything hooked up and the bass is almost non-existent.To get any sound at all I have to crank everything to max and even then the bass is very weak.

Now,I was told that my HU only has like 1.3 volt pre-outs,could that be the problem?Do I need a more powerful amp?Line driver?

check the wiring to make sure you don't have one sub out of phase.

i say that 1.3v preouts coupled with only 600 watts on 2 type r's could be the issue. But you should have some bass....but you don't have nowhere near enough powa

Your + and - may be hooked up wrong on one speaker.

he still only has 600 watts....which really means like 300-500 on music

Well,I can take the amp back.I bought it open box from BB.

The other amp I was looking at was a Hifonics BXI 2008d,but I thought that would be too much power.Would this amp be more suited to these subs?
