The shades are more musical and handle a little less power... you can get a custom shade to handle around 3k if you want... but the stock shades are optimized for 1500.

The thing probably most useful to you though is that you can more likely than not get the nightshades in a smaller box

The BTL is going to be better as taking power, but it also needs that power. So like everyone said... 1-2k nightshade.... 2+k BTL.. unless you want to get yourself some customs from jacob.

how loud can the two nightshades get in trunk anyone relate to that.i know in suvs ive seen some over 150's just wondering cause i am now gonna take the easy route so i dont have to get more power even though go big or go home plays an effect.just wondering how loud i can get two of them on tl playing music

well with not that much money and not really compete to much would you say the nightshades in a semi to medium size box and about 3k total in trunk can get loud.well lets say louder than a single btl in a smaller box with same amount.and yes i know about cone area.

no it doesnt just worried on how much extra i would need to run 2 btls have 220 amp alt dont know how many batts i would need and not sure it that will be enough

i would go with 2-3 large battery banks if you decide to run 2 btls with 4-5k.

my single hc2400 and stock batt on a 180amp alt holds pretty well though my voltage is suckage due to the cars ECU. my voltage stays a stable 12v 90% of the time. i could wang chung for a large period of time and still rest at 12v.

but lets say i'm on the highway(certain ecu cut on point for alt) and getting my full amperage out of the alt. a stable 14.2v with my system on full tilt will fluctuate my voltage down to 13.5 and up.
