I bought this to install on a friends car before it took a crap on him. Im only asking for what I paid for it. Its a refurb but everything in the box is brand new!! This is the same alarm as the Viper 791. Price is pretty firm and will be shipped the day of payment or day after. I have a few refs on this board, tons of post on SD and over 400 Ebay Feedback! This unit, I am intersted but since it is refurbed, what warranty is avaliable if something were to go wrong?

Any DEI alarm, whether refurb or brand new has no warranty unless purchased and installed at a Authorized DEI Shop. The brain is brand new, still has the sticker on it and all the wires are uncut. The only thing that's different from a new one is prolly the box. Let me know if you have any other questions!

thanks for the speedy reply. WOW how does a unit get refurbed? and if it bombs out on me, i would just be a**ed out?

Nevertheless i am interested. Just want to feel comfy. I cannot allow a shop to charge me $XXX just to do something that I am well capable of doing.

Honestly, im not sure how or what they replace when they refurb the units. The DEI units are very reliable so I don't see why it should bomb out on you. If you have any other questions, shoot me over a PM.

so it got remote start too right? everything keyless entry alarm 2 way or not?

Its a top of the line alarm, same as the Viper 791xv, just different remote. Its keyless entry, remote start, alarm and yes its a two way so you get confirmation of everything via the remote.
