nfl question

isnt there a 10 second run off penalty if you are the offense and have no timeouts left and its less than two minutes in the game?

im pretty sure ive seen this a few times in teh last couple weeks, i just cant remember if its college or nfl. i thought it was nfl.

anyway if it is a nfl rule why did the refs not call it against new england just now?

i know ive seen it a couple times in the last two weeks. but with football coming on almost every day i get games confused. i googled real quick, but all i could find was last years info in which it says it was a rule.

i forgot why,but its not happening this year, they talked about it last week

I think the false start you are referring to w/ about 23 sec left was not a 10 sec runoff bc the clock was already stopped, therefore no penalty

I believe it wasn't called because they had spiked the ball to stop the clock. I believe the run off only occurs when the clock is still running.

yeah i guess that makes sense afterall. i didnt even think of that. my blind hate for the pats made me overlook that

I hate them too, but was slightly pulling for them since I am Fins fan, and with a Pats win Fins would have a shot at the AFC East lead next week(assuming the Dolphins beat the Raiders)....

how bout ricky williams with his first 100 yd gamne in like 5 years or something. i dont care who wins the east, as long as its not the pats. pretty sure my chiefs are done for the year....again. and the jags arent looking to good either.

They ruled it down by contact but had stopped the clock to review the play, thats the reason for the run off.

are you talking about the goal line fiasco by the niners? no i am not talking about that. they did get hosed, on both the down by contact call and the handling of the officiating crew. however they hosed themselves the most by wasing almost 30 seconds to spke the ball a couple plays earlier.

in the game tonight it took the pats all of about 6 sec's to spike theball after a first down. thats how it should be, teh niners were subbing in peple and standing around and looking at coaches.

that organization is in shambles. montana should come back
