Hey everyone, this is my first post.
I have a question that should be easy for a lot of you. I'm no expert on car audio systems, but over the last 9 years I have installed all my systems, and done the best I could with limited knowledge.
I'm planning on upgrading my mids and tweeters in my Frontier pickup. I'm also looking into purchasing a 12" Kicker solo barick L7 with ported enclosure. I found the sub on
ebay for $207, and the ported box for around $35. My two questions are, what amp would you guys recommend for this sub? My price range is a max of around $200, i'm not trying to break the bank here. $250 max if I must anty up.
The last time I hooked up a system, I used a set of alpine mids and tweeters for $80 dollars, and I wasn't impressed. I guess that's not a surprise? What mids and tweeters should I be aiming for? I want HIGH VOLUME! while maintaining crisp sound. Again... my limit is about 200 bucks for the mids and tweeters. I believe my truck accomodates 5" round speakers for the mids.
Any help would be appreciated... also if you know of a better quality subwoofer than a solobarick L7 for around 200 bucks, that would be nice to know also.
