Newb: Question for purchasing

I have ~26,800 American Express points to spend, and have decided to get a "system" for my car. Basically all I want is an amp and a speaker (possibly 2). I already have a good head unit that I will be using.

Problem is I know absolutely nothing to speak of about amps/speakers, what the stats mean, what kind of watts I would want, channels I would need, etc.

All I want is a simple system, I don't particularly want my car to rattle like an airplane taking off, but I do like the more powerfull systems.

Any advice?

Just a note: I don't need to get EVERYTHING from AmEx, just as much as I can (preferably the amp). I just have no idea what to look for. I can go out after the fact and spend money on this, I just want to start here.
