hi everyone, i am totally new and have zero knowledge about car stereos, i just bought a classic car and wanted to set up a decent/non expensive/basic stereo system on my ride., can someone point me to the right direction on how and where to purchase car stereos, i saw one in pep boys this morning, the box says Car Stereo Package, it comes with radio and 2 medium sized speakers. $109( i dunno if the wires comes with it) has anyone of you owns one?how do you guys rate them?

What stereo are on trend nowadays? bluetooth? etc? pls update and give some advice on what to buy.

its a 1964 roadster/ the radio is alpine

What roadster? If it's an MGB it could be positive ground, which will make it a challenge. Convertible?

$109 for a stereo and speakers is bottom rung stuff. What is your budget?

What size speakers does the car have, and does it have a cutout in the dash or will you be mounting it custom?
