if you're just wantin some bump in the trunk you should be able to pick up a nice 1200 or so watt setup... a 12" and an amp for 500-600 bux

for that price range you'd be best going with a single better sub than two lesser subs... any idea if u wanna do a ported or sealed box? what type of music u listen to? stock cd player or aftermarket?

Welcome to the forum. There aren't tons of folks here from Oregon but as I recall we do have a few.

$5-600 will easily get a solid substage setup but is that budget being alotted for bass only or an entire system (cd player, front/possibly rear speakers and an amp for them, sub(s) and an amp for that) ?

I'm in the midst of a budget build myself for a second vehicle I recently acquired so putting together some decent tunes for little money is possible but potentially time-consuming. Hunting around for and locating really great deals on stuff generally isn't a quick process but with a bit of diligent shopping and maybe a bit of horse-trading it can be done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well like i said im new to this so im not sure if about the ported or sealed box, i listen to rap and i will also be buying a aftermarket CD player but that wont be cuttin into the 5-$600 budget.
and for right now im not trying to get an entire system id just like to have maybe a good sub or 2 and a amp for $500-$600

hey

I would go with a couple of mach 5 audio subs and a 1000 w rms amplifier for them. Put two of those in a well built ported box and you'll have a lot of bass.

With two dual 4-ohm subs you will need a 1 ohm stable amplifier, check this out:

With shipping, all of that should be around $400-$420 for the amp and subs.

x2. That would give you all the bass you need and well within your range.
