New wall

I'm putting in a new wall set-up in the cutty....taking out the 4 memphis 12's and can't decide on what to go with.

It's either 6 12's of the black series powerbase in a sealed wall...1.5 cubes ea. or go with 2 15in. es sql powerbase in a ported wall 3.5 cubes ea. tuned to 35 hz.. Both cost about the same and they will be powered by a single Pa 3000db amp.

This is a daily driver weather permitting .

What would you guy's go with out of these 2 set-ups ?

Never heard heard much about those, so i couldnt tell yah. good luck You should stick with another memphis sub imo.

I'd go with the 2 15's ported. The more speakers you have the more room for error or cancellation etc. I like the idea of the 15's ported. Done right you could not go wrong either way. The 12's would probably be louder with that much extra cone area even though they are sealed, do 3 15's ported and call it a day.

Yeah it's a tough call...I'm sick of changing set-ups twice a summer. I only drive this car 4 - 5 months out of the year. I also thought of the 3 15's idea . 6 12's will look cool though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif . I might go with 4 15in. black series sealed.

Just because Memphis has a line called powerbass and they look slightly similer doesnt mean they are the same...

I have heard that some of the lower line memphis woofers were made by whoever makes powerbase woofers thats all. Check these posts out
