I like the box setup. What are your overall thoughts on the Type R 15? Anything you can compare it to? And how do those real low notes sound?

Welp i had a 05 15" XXX,and a 15" SX in the same box...but only had them on 1250watts.

But i can say that the Type R destroys the SX on low notes and beats the XXX also...but with this new tuning which i believe is around 29hz(32hz was the other tuning for all 3) its a whole new beast....i mean it thrives on the lows....the low notes sound insane...you feel them all around you...its really a nice experience...i can only imagine like others setups who hit 140s on 20hz...but for me this is really nice daily driver...in all fairness i would imagine the 05 XXX would be just as nice on more power...hmmmm which i actually might try now since i got more power....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Thanks for your input. I would like to run 2 12's but if I can get 1 15 (which would take up less space) to sound as good as you describe in 3.5, I may try it. I'm a big box vvhore and the car I plan to buy next week is trunked and I want something that's not too large/heavy.
Always been a fan of single 15's, might have to try it....also, do you run two 4" aeroports on that box? If so, are they the standard 17"?

i got my sx in 5cubes with 3 aeros right now but it doesnt get even close to the lows as his type r. i guess mine is tuned too too high!!!

Yeh well i got 2 standard length..right around 18in i believe...and i think it tunes out to 29-30hz....pretty nice for the R

And as Fawd said his has 3 at 16in a piece and u can tell the diff in lows but his is louder meter wise...cheatin HB...haha

Thanks for the input guys, appreciate it. My SX box was tuned to 35hz with the 3 aero's, but the extra volume really emphasized the lows.....I really may give the Type R a try....if it will work in 3 cubes. I decided I'm decreasing my space requirement....I want trunk room for once!

it is weird u were at 37 hz now ur at 36..... we u get off u shall try the 20.1 to see if u gain or lose anything

I cannot find any info on this amp at all. Where did you get it? Specs? $?

That setup HITS. I got a similar setup with only 1000W and it seems like it needs a bit more power to come alive.
