New TV

I bought a regular CRT tv from wally world. It had pretty good reviews and it had component jacks which is what I wanted cuz my xbox has $45 monster component cables. Bought it and hooked it all up with the component cables. The xbox starts up and shows the logo and everything but when it goes to load the game the screen goes blank and says no signal.

The TV says that its rated for 480i but I think my xbox is 480p

Luckily I had an RF adapter sitting around, but when I hooked it up the quality is terrible. The Xbox logo on the component cables looked 200% better than it does with the RF adapter.

Anyone know how I can fix this? Or do I have to buy the advance A/V thing for the xbox and use S-Video ?

yeah everything is plugged in correctly. When I start the xbox up the screen loads the dashboard or whatever its called but when I put a game in and start to load the game the screen goes blank and says unsupported resolution or no signal
