new toys FTW... PLENTY OF PICS 56k FTL

is that for the car?

wow.

just wow.

it absolutely is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

i am debating on where to put it.

either off to one side vertically in the well on the side of my trunk

or right in the middle to show it off.

i thought i saw that in his garage the other day lol
you did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

what are u gonna use your eq on?
my front stage.

which will hopefully change quite a bit in the coming month or two.

i am going to put a pair of 8's in the doors which will require chopping up the doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif but it is for the good of the stereo so i will get over it.

the tweeters are staying but i am thinking about throwing a pair of dayton rs dome mids in the kicks.

ditchimg the alpine crossover, putting in my coustic 3-way crossover for my front stage.

picking up 2 or preferably 3 us amps i/s 2100 amps to run my front stage active.

i really want this to all happen since i dont have an insurance payment the next 2 months so i will have some free cash.

but only time will tell.

~Magick_Man~

this is basically what i want to do.

finished.jpg

maybe 2 dayton 8inchers per door and run the amp at 2 ohms giving them each 100 watts

the tweets would get 125 each.

the dome mids would get 65ish since they are 8 ohms

the mid-bass would get 125 unless i put 2 in each door then they would get 100 per.

i wonder if the dome mid could keep up since it is getting half the power the rest are.

the tweet and dome are 91 dB 2.83V/1m and the mid is 92.

so this makes me worry a bit it wont have enough power to keep up.

but i guess there is only one way to find out.

now i just have to sell my kicks to someone in exchange for their stock kicks so i can cut a hole in them too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well i have the talking done i just need the funds to do it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

165 for the speakers.

and 276 for the 3 amps

aahhh too much to think about.

well i threw it in last night and now i am hearing some noise coming from my right side speakers.

when i go over a bump or something there is a little pop noise.

i havent messed with it enough to see if it is from the PG or a bad connection somewhere after it.

i really hope there is nothing wrong with it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

i have a feeling it has to do with the crappy way i installed the type x crossovers.

when i put in the PG i shifted something and that is causing it.

or atleast i hope so.

i am going to switch the output on the PG and if the popping is still on the same side then it is something else.

i just hope that is what it really is.

i might be ordering a pair of 8's soon that will be glassed into the doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

or i will go ahead and buy the amps so ike doesnt run out by the time i get around to it.

~Magick_Man~

LAWLERS I'd like to see THAT:D
i'm sure you would.

the only thing that will ever be glassed into my dash is a center channel and maybe a touchscreen monitor for a carputer.

but those both take plenty of money and arent going to happen in the remotely near future.

~Magick_Man~

well i swapped the outputs on the PG when i went to get dinner earlier and i didnt really hear any pops maybe one or two but they were still from the right side.

this makes me think that the PG is perfectly fine and there is just a bad connection somewhere after it.

which makes me feel alot better.
