New Toy

Yowch. Did you check out RVdirect or RVwholesalers?
I think we actually got a great deal that's out the door price taxes and everything, and it's no base line model, the comparable 2008 models were closer to 27K and higher //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

You could live in it all year round if you like to chip the ice off of your nut sack every morning...

And I don't think Walmart will let you park their over night anymore...
I don't think you would want to live in it year round, but the heater works great, you could get a generator and power it. But yea it's more of a 3 season trailer and then you winterize it which involves the plumbing mostly.

everything in it works off of either the battery or gas which is nice, everything except the a/c that is.

Fridge - battery or gas

heater is 12v blower fan off battery

water heater and water pump - electric or gas

All this with just a push of a simple button on a little control pad inside.

My 02 supercrew2 wheel drive, smaller V8 with tow package/gears and I was skeptical, but it pulls it like a champ.

I didn't know it, but I towed it home from the dealer about 40 miles away and the fresh water tank was full - 40 gallons I think, the "black tank" and "grey tanks" had water in them as well from the dealer testing. So I emptied those (legally) so that should drop the weight around 500-600 pounds.
Unless someone has been showering in it and taking a piss you shouldn't have any black or gray water in it...

But, that water makes a HUGE difference when pulling a camper like that. But, it is a smaller guy so it shouldn't be bad to pull at all. We have a Wanderer, the biggest one they make that isn't a 5th wheel. That thing weights like 11,000 lbs empty. So you can only pull it with specific vehicles. It is super GHEY to pull, especially loaded with amplifiers and a Kawasaki Mule...

Best thing to do is to use air to blow all the water out of the lines... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I hate doing that **** job, we have 4 trailers that we use through out the year when we are on jobs and it is extra ghey.

Well nobody was using the craper or showering, but the dealer ran everything, checking for links and filled up the tanks by doing that then filled up the fresh water tank.

I've been wondering how energy efficient those things are?
Like could you actually live in one year round? During a really cold winter?

I've been thinking about trying to score something like that to live in year round while i attend grad school.

I heard walmart lets you camp in their parking lots for free.

One of my professors actually lives in one of these currently. has been doing so for a year now lol. He was living in some dorms, until they decided to tear it down and make a parking lot. They didnt tell him until like 2 days before hand too. So he moved out into his camper " temporarily " lol

and no im not joking. He almost got pnuemonia 2x last year. Its so cold sometimes he comes to class @ like 4in the morning. He also brings his dog b/c the dog would freeze to death

I would feel sorry for him if he wasnt an asshat

Yea, I still have to get the air compress hookups to do that. Is it that big of a pain to do?

That would do it...

Yes and no. My grandpa always is in charge of doing it and he can bit a PITA to work with so no it's not too much of a hassle to do...

I just have bad memories... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
