Home audio has a stigma of being insanely expensive - which some of it is. But if you shop right, and can use a soldering iron, it's amazing what you can find out there. The ultra-high end gives the rest of it a bad name...you know, the $10,000 phono cartridges and $500 a meter interconnects.
