Get pity for what? Weak minded about what? I've been through tons of shit and I'm still here. And I'm not going anywhere. You can call names all you want. That just shows the type of person that you are. You are so strong minded that you have to call people names on the internet. Wow, I wish that I was that strong minded. Keyboard Cowboy!
Your reverse psychology attempt is pointless. I have no pity to give. If you were strong minded you would be able to think for yourself. I will leave it at that.

What reverse psychology are you talking about? I choose to live by myself. That's my choice. And I do think for myself. I don't follow anybody, never have. I could easily slide in with the rest of the talking heads in here just to fit in. You can be part of that circle jerk if you want to. I am my own man.

Really, you think so. You don't get prescribed these for no reason. Anti-depressants for 19 years as well. "School Busses" I might be a dikkhead, but I'm not a liar.

I was diagnosed with Clinical Depression back in 2014 after my dad died. They started me out on Prozac which did nothing. So they moved me to Alprazolam (Xanax) which made me suicidal as hell. To the point that I attempted suicide in 2015. So I quit taking everything after that.
Just recently in beginning of 2021 did I start noticing a Compulsive Disorder and my Anxiety going thru the roof. They sent me to a Psych that tried to diagnose me with PTSD from my military career. I never saw war, so how in the [email protected] do I have PTSD. But anyways, they put me on Sertraline. Which has been great. My anxiety is controllable and no more obsessing over the little things.

Sertraline is Zoloft and my mom has been taking it for 20+ years before that she suffered with anxiety attacks all the time. Great little medication that helps millions control those attacks and cheap as well so even people without insurance can get it at Walmart or some other place for a 30 day supply for like 2-10 bucks. My dad didn't help matters as he has never had them and would tell her "oh just get over it its nothing you are overreacting for no reason" which makes it 100 times worse after someone says that. He tried that crap with me as well once I started to have them and I told him flat out either shut the feck up or leave my house as I won't have that here. I have had anxiety attacks since I almost died the 1st time in Nov 2010. I never had them before then on the anniversary a year later I was shaking non-stop, pacing and so on. My mom who has had those attacks for close to 30 years recognized right away what I was having. Before that I was on the smallest dose of Effexor for my kidneys as I have small blood vessels in them and there is a side effect from Effexor that opens them up well they upped the dosage to a normal dosage and since then it has been a lot better. I went into an attack while on Vacation last Monday night and it was because I am so used to being home alone that my body knew something was off.

PTSD can come from anywhere. I was diagnosed with it right after I almost died the 1st time. I was so bad that I refused to leave the house, I was told that I should stay with my parents so I did from Jan through the 3rd week of March. Once I was able to get back on my own two feet I slowly got to the point I was 1000 times better. I just needed to realize how close I really was to death. Going into the hospital with less then a 5% chance of living it didn't bother me it was those many weeks later I went WTF! I damn near died and it went from there. They tried at first to send me to a Psych and I said not happening. I will deal with this on my own which I did. It was in April they cleared me and said I was fine and showed no symptoms of PTSD.

But anxiety attacks can happen at any time anyplace to anyone. I don't wish them on anyone because for many people they can be deliberating to the point they can't leave the house or do anything in public. Thankfully mine are very few & far between now but I know in Nov-Jan I can always expect a uptick in them as somehow the body just knows when that time is approaching.

Many people have anxiety attacks and don't realize what they are they think oh it is just me overreacting or something like that. Over time if you don't get something or learn to control them they get worse each time to the point some people end up in the hospital.

I get more than 1 hour. I get about 4 per night. I’m smoking my bowl right now to fall sleep, but when it wears off, I will be awake at 1 or 2 AM.
Also @Bobbytwonames

Ask your doctor about remeron/mirtazapine. That's the most effective sleep med I've tried. Clonodine has worked too, but it only lasts a few hours.

Still haven't found anything more consistently effective than alcohol, but that's not sound medical advice, and also why I'm an alcoholic. I'd rather wake up hungover than having not slept.

I recommend doing research before starting effexor. It made my scalp itch nonstop, and the withdrawals from it gave me dizzy spells and kept me in bed for two days.

Thanks for the story! True anxiety is debilitating. If I take any Xanax it is just a small amount to get me back to "normal". Anxiety, major depressive order, and OCD are the things that I battle on a daily basis. Most people don't understand the struggle and just call people weak. PYSD can be caused by many things, not just the military. I think I have some PTSD from an ex-wife and almost crashing in a plane, but it's not diagnosed. Good luck with your battle man! Stay strong!

Effexor XR was the worst. My psychiatrist had me on 450 mg. daily which is twice the max recommended dosage. It literally gave me brain shivers and made me suicidal. S rew that stuff.

Have you tried 10 mg. Ambien for sleep?

I have not. I assume that's prescription? I'm reluctant to ask my doctor about controlled meds because I don't want to sound like a junkie and get cut off from the controlled med I'm currently taking.
