new to the forum

Hi everyone,

My name is Paul and I am an airline captain from las Vegas and southern california.

I have a few cars including a Ferrari that need stereo upgrades. I am doing research on the best soundproofing material to put under my carpet while i am installing 2 new Mcintosh amplifiers. I am not hearing good things about dynamat? Heavy and not so effective for sound deadoning? What do you guys recommend?

I am also in search of some good boxed speakers to put on the rear shelf of my Ferrari. Pioneer made some excellent boxed speakers in the 80s and I do not see anything in the market like that anymore? Any suggestions would be a appreciated.

Here is a pic one of my cars. It is a modified turbocharged euro Ferrari 308QV.

Cheers

Paul

paul, not many companies make a "boxed" setup already, as its inneficient in todays market. Your best bet is to find a shop you can trust, and listen to some of their more high end equipment. seeing you occupation/career, tells me you have money as well as the car you drive haha. Your started out on the right company for amps for sure, now look into some ARC audio, or something of that nature for your equipment. The flat line series has some rave reviews. By buying something in store, not only do you get warranty, but it has a good chance of cutting down the price of that professional install you may desire.

Just look into the review section, as there is a shop out in cali that WILL destroy your car.

I appreciate the response and the leads on equipment.
