Dual, and it doesnt skip ever? Ok, you dont hit then. And I saw the windows werent tinted dark enough to block sight...so that GOT to look like crap. all big wire and a battery in the trunk isnt bad idea tho. But I know ur daddy is mad u ruined his car.

by the way.....the caprice i had didnt come with a 350 or a 454. It came with a 327.

It depends on the year. Most of the 80s model I seen either come with the 305 chevy or 307 oldsmobile.

and im pretty sure his setup owns yours when you were 16....if you even had one.
Uhm....9 JL 12w6 (original ones) on 3 orion 225 HCCAs, the 1st eclipse double din HU with video, another orion 225 hcca on a set of Orion components in the doors, and 4" coaxials in the dash. All ran with Monster cable XLN rcas, and all power/ground was 0g stinger wire. Had a GM HO 140 amp alt replacing the stocker, and had 2 backup batteries in the back. All of this was in a 1984 Toyota 4Runner. The wall of subs was where the rear seat was. These 4Runners were 2 door with removable tops. And yes, this was when I was 16, early 17. I got all this from working 2 part time jobs, and installing stereos on the side.

edit....audio control 230x signal processor/crossover until I traded it for an Epicenter and another 225 HCCA

But....I agree....his owned mine, lol. I wouldnt touch his. Mine got me cash prizes, and citations too, and lets NOT forget that a windshield that DOESNT CRACK...will pop out.

It was an '85. It was pokey until I swapped the rear end, LOL. It came with 2.73 gears, I also found out the rear ends from a camaro were the same, so a friend gave me a rear end from his firebird that was modded, and it had 4.10 gears. Yeah that big turd was quick then. And it had the 700r4 ******, so it still wasnt too bad on the highway.

Why should he rock an American flag? The boy has pride for where he hails from and for his blood..

Leave him alone.
Leave him alone for what? I was simply asking him why there was no American flag. Maybe it's a pride thing, fine, so be it.

I wasn't asking you, and you are making an assumption as to why he has no American flag.

My ancestors hailed from Russia, Germany, Ireland, Poland, France //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif, and the Cherokee Indian tribe. I'm proud of it all (except for the French part.... ), but I pay respect to none of their flags/symbols because I believe the following to be true:

"In the first place, we should insist that the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equity with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin.

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American but something else also, isn't an American at all.

We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is a loyalty to the American people."
"The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans; and there ought to be no room for them in this country.

The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic.

He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American.

There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American.

The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else."

idk what kind of caprice you had //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifeven the wagons have beastily balls.

comes stock with a V8...either a 350 or 454.....

bored out...

or with cop car specs....

fast as hell...

im pushin probably around 400-500 hp with an almost stock 350 5.7L v8. (only things i have done is cleaned the carburator and adjusted timing -- simple tuneups)

through an edelbrock carb in there, bore out the lowers....you got a pretty fast car there...and you wouldnt really suspect it....

"Caprices were ordered with the optional 4-speed manual transmission, few or no power accessories, and the 425 horsepower (317 kW) 427 cubic-inch Turbo Jet V8."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Caprice

while that is manual and most are automatic, that is pretty good for a "luxury" family type car....wouldnt you say?

I'm in no way syaing the caprice is any where near the fastest thing out there, but for a boat, its pretty speedy while its tippin around the corners //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I get mine back today

so... let me see a dyno sheet? or is this "seat of the pants horsepower" fwiw- the 80's caprices did NOT have a 454. you could get a slow 350, or a slower 305. matter of fact.. from your own link-

1980-1984 229 in³ Chevrolet V6 110 hp 170 ft·lbf

1986-1988 4.3 L/262 in³ Chevrolet V6 140 hp (104 kW) 225 ft·lbf (305 N·m)

1986-1990 5.0 L/307 in³ LV2 Oldsmobile V8 140 hp (104 kW) 255 ft·lbf (346 N·m)

1987-88 5.0 L/305 in³ LG4 Small-Block V8 170 hp 250 ft·lbf

1989-1990 5.0 L/305 in³ LO3 V8 170 hp (127 kW) 255 ft·lbf (346 N·m)

1989-1990 (police) 5.7 L/350 in³ LO5 Small-Block V8 190 hp 285 ft·lbf

those are the COMPLETE listings of available motors.

so.. i am not an engine whiz, but i DO know that your "im pushin probably around 400-500 hp with an almost stock 350 5.7L v8. (only things i have done is cleaned the carburator and adjusted timing -- simple tuneups)"

is NOWHERE close to 500hp:laugh: try again
