New subs

I have been running a pair of Eclipse single voice coil 15 aluminums off a older fosgate 1000 something in a sealed box and they sounded great and hit hard. Then I got a truck and moved one of them into a sealed box and it sounded ok. I only have one left in the sealed box and just bought an Nissan Altima. I was wondering if you think it would sound TIGHTER to run 1 or two 12 inch W7's off the same amp or keep the old single Eclpise sub I have now. I listen to heavy rock, metal ,jazz, and everything else exept rapp. Just want something that hits hard but does not sound like rapp bass.

The test sheet that came with my amp put out 550*2 @2ohm.
