in my reg cab chevy 1500, i want to put 6 1/2in in somewhere. if i cut a panel in the door, will they raddle everything inside? will they get in the way of my power windows? or what about bolting them on a square piece of wood and connecting them to the back of my kickpanels, behind the parking brake. if so, should i build a full box or just use foam baffles. also, my sliding rear window rattles when my subs hit. is there any fix for this? thanks

Roll your windows down and measure the clearance from the speaker bracket to the window, then measure the surface mounting depth of the speaker. If you use a kick panel design, you should enclose it some how to protect it from dirt, moisture, and other damage. As for any rattling, pinpoint where the rattle is comming from, check for loose weather stripping. Otherwise replace the weather stripping for a snugger fit.
