New RE MX and XXX Prices!

whats so different about itcan u explain what is so great about the woofers that they just made that is better then n e thing we can ever imagine

did scottie sprinkle secret dust on em for TEH WIN!

i dont think so

MSRP and how much u can get them for, are 2 different things buddy;)
I hear you, but i'm not arguing that the sub is worth $650 based on it's performance, which i know nothing about.

What i'm saying is, i'm sure if JL or MTX had a comparable position, that is they have a sub with technology not currently sold elsewhere that MSRP would be > then that of RE's MSRP prices.

split coil requires a lot of Mms...
Are we done with the pointless Bickering yet???

Split Coil, Glad you brought that up Vs. just talking b.s on each other...

Since no one could explain the MX, lets try another on topic, non-argumentive subject, thats closer to the title topic....

What is the difference between a XBL2 and Split Coil??? Why makes it better?

Honestly, u could find a lot of info on the VS and more info about both tech on carstereos.org. RE and Adire had a few writeups a while back.

I'll try get ya the link, or u can head over n search.

you did just skim over everything that was about didn't you?

anyway I can explain the virtues of both, how the mass of split coil necessarily must be higher than any other flat BL tech besides LMT etc

motor discussion time?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

the MX is a dome type Neo motor... it's quite obviously from the pictures and is therefore naturally shielded.... I have a feeling it's just as strong as the XXX's motor... well at least it could be given the nature of neo magnets and the 3+ inch VC used on both speakers

the parthenon I believe uses a dual gap overhung motor...

it's a large motor as it needs to be to make up for the 2800g or so Mms on it (not that it entirely can make up for it).

there are physically two gaps in the motor both with seperate magnet structures and 1" neo slugs used.

I believe the dual gap overhung was used to increase power handling instead of simply using standard XBL (and to cut majorly down on steel costs)

excursion is cool... but I'm wondering how much Sd is damaged by that 1/2 roll... it looks to be around 1.5" wide... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif :crap:
