$800 per month is a great price. Try $1500 per month for a 650 sq. ft. apartment in the ghetto in Maryland.

jntar, I vote for the second one. Just make sure that the garage is included in the initial rent price. My apartment complex wants an extra $100 per month to rent a garage. Even though on their site is says its included. The manager's explanation: "The garage is free, but we charge to rent the remote opener". I said I could get my own remote. She said: "It doesn't work like that". Crooks.

Also, the vaulted ceilings are great. I have them in my apt. However, this certainly guarantees that its not a ground floor apt. Also, you'll have to find creative ways to deaden the space because sound likes to bounce around alot. Sucks when you are trying to watch a movie. Just some things to consider.

He's right. Much quieter neighbors. However, the duplexes here in Co. Are pretty run down. At least the apt. has some nice features.

No houses within any city I would want to live in for under $1k a month rent. I do not want a room mate and I can not really afford an $1800+ mortgage/rent rate as of right now.

I havent come across any townhouses I like in the areas Im looking.

Those ceilings are probably NOT vaulted. My last to apts had 9 ft all around. Texas FTMFW
