New Pioneers

I bought a set of Pioneer 6x8's to put in my truck. These speakers are not marked anywhere as to which terminal is positive or negative.

However, one terminal is larger than the other. So, what is the conventional usage? Is there one?

Would I have to use a battery to find out?

They are installed and don't sound bad, but I want to make sure they're right so when I install an amp I wont have any problems.

Thanks

There will be no negative effects from wiring them backwards. The only thing "bad" is they will play backwards, or out of phase. Basically when the cone is suppoosed to move out, it will move in.

Smaller is negative.
Word.
