Whew...I was wondering if you were gonna cover that other hole on the right.

As im sure you already know an easy way to get arond that door hnadle rod is to just wrap it in flexloom, than lay the dampning over it.

I used the sludge on the inside of the outer door skin, and then just used 1 big sheet of Cascade vb-2 to cover where the moisture barrier used to be. That door looks like massive overkill to me. If I pull off my door panel again soon, I'll post a pic, though I guess it can look gnarly as it's all under the door panel. Dont forget to get a good seal between the door panel grille and the speaker rim. That makes a big difference too.
