Impressive... Good for them.

Shit, a 4 layer 4" coil... there's gotta be some wicked inductance there. Even if it's copper...

Oooh, 10" slugs.

Interesing, I'm gonna have to put a bug in someones ear about this... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well, the coil being copper or aluminum has no bearing on the Le. If they are the same winding length, width, and wire gauge, they'll have the same Le in that motor.

Given a 4" diameter 2" long 4 layer VC, I'd wager the Le is around 8mH or so, possibly higher if they used really small gauge wire. Looks like probably 24AWG or so though.

It'd be nice if they made an 18" with some decent coil options...

Hopefully it is an effective field replacable woofer....we need more of those //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they are indeed extremely easy to replace in the field..

also..i'll take the new mojo amp over just about anything....save a crown, or 4kw..big power..

Eh...those QCA type assemblies (Like the TI Pro) have GOT to be MAD expensive. I mean, MT's aren't all that hard to re-cone at all...some people are just lazy i guess //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

IIRC, they are about 1/3rd to 1/2 the cost of the original woofer...and u can change size as well....a 10" will fit on the 15" motor..of the same series..m3 or m3mojo or this new mojo that is pictured..
