new job ftw

yahoo i finally got a well paying job!

the last job i was working was going well but then they hired a guy who works for 10 a hour and i worked for 9 and needed to be trained so i got let go.

However now i will be working labour on a construction [sp] site which will be for 11.50 a hour to start!

freaking sweet i will have to upgrade my stereo at home and finally buy a car and fill her up with subs in due time

new job ftw! gotta love it!

i gotta get up at 6 am to be there on time due to riding the city bus is about as lame as it gets

I worked contract labor for about 4 months before heading off to college. We did alot of construction sites, but primarily we dug ditches for sprinklers and electrical lines. The money is great, but the job gets old. I love working with my hands, and it was never too bad at work, especially if there are alot of other people around. However, it will wear and tear on your body... I'm only 18 and after 3 months or so I could literally feel the toll it had taken on me. Granted, digging ditches 8 hours a day 6 days a week, with variety in the work being a rareity, is alot harder than just at a construction site, it will take a wear on your body.

yikes! that sounds harsh i will be moving wood and removing nails...cleaning the site up after and generaly be the lowest link on the ladder but ya gotta work your way up eh.

im 21 and like the money of hourly its not to bad i take in about 90 a day on this new job based on a 8 hour shift,the last job i worked at sucked my boss was always comparing me to a 20 year pro who could do it faster then say things like...dont worry i dont expect you to be that fast...and in the same sentence say...you have to be has fast as him...it made no sense hahahha,

Also like yourself i work with my hands i was sanding and doing prep for a painter now it will be moving junk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif it will bulk me up pretty fast.

I'm glad its the fall tho since it was such a brutal summer for working the heat here was more like cali !

Wish i could do more contract work thats how you make the real money! way to go man

full time labour! they need a lot of people so they are trying out guys who know people and my old boss worked with them on prior jobs and said good things about me.

just having the few days off [let go last friday] so really only 2 real days off till i have to wake up hella hella early agian and make a living!

type r's here i come....oh wait the fi's are the new boner lol mabye i will pick up some Q18's
