anyone see the new "The Universe" on Biggest bangs in the universe!!

2 quick facts for ya

Supernova blast= the energy of that whole galaxy (all the stars) within a few milliseconds!!

Supernova blast= 1cu in= all the energy in our entire sun for its entire life in a few milliseconds!! ... F'in amazing numbers!

they also said Space itself can travel faster than the speed of light, but no particle in space can

Our nearest star is 4 light years away. And our galaxy has 300 billion of these stars. That makes my brain hurt, lol.

so if were so miniscule and none of us matter anyway why do you go to such lengths as to put a system in your car, black it all out, and put rims on it? assuming the car in your sig is yours..... if we all dont matter theres no point in doing all that. right?

Around Boston, Its rear to see the nite sky due to lite pollution. I like going up to NH or ME and seeing all the stars. Its crazy.

Best Nite sky I seen was when I lived In Donegal Ireland.. No lite pollution for 100's of miles. Its amazing to see alot of things "moving" that are not visable unless you are out there away from city lights.

side note. I worked with a guy who worked on the Hubble. We used to joke, "no wonder it is messed up"

Yeah, there is a spot between here and St. Louis that you can see millions of stars. Looks like a movie or something.

if i think really hard about the universe, it makes me really frustrated. Same thing about death. Like think about just being gone forever. It really messes with me

The crazy thing is that a Klingon war cruiser could have wiped out half of those galaxies by now and we wouldn't know it for another 5 billion years.

correct, As far as we know, as of right now, that whole area and any othe hubble pic may have been wiped out by a Super Massive Black Hole.
