New HU for christmas is it any good????

I've always heard to stay away from sony products when it comes to car audio. However my dad didn't know this. He bought me a Sony Xplod cdx-gt640ui headunit and I am wondering if I should keep it or send it back and pick up something else. He paid $160 for it, is there anything else in this price range that someone could reccomend??? Please help he is really dissapointed that im not happy with it.

This is from the Hands on review. Im thinking about a straight exchange for a Kenwood KDC-MP442U what do you guys think about this model.
