Onkyo S790 It's nothing insanly spectacular, but for a $500 HTIB I don't think it can be beat. Suits my needs.. for now. Here's the front. (not permanant placement hence the dangling wire and the center on the floor). Crushed dustcaps FTL. Curious 2-year-olds..

Three of the four surrounds (again, not permanant) Need swivel mounts.

The sub is tucked behind the corner of the sectional couch for now.

You sure do have a lot of photographs of people.
So what exactly came with the HTIB? The reciver and those surrounds you have mounted to the ceiling?
Yeah, the ol' lady is a bit of a photographer. She'd be lost without them. It came with the receiver, 4 surrounds, left, right, center, sub, remote and wire that looks to be a bit too small.. I think I'm going to go pick up some 14awg this weekend.

Hey.. Owning my home at my age is something that 85% of my peers don't have. So, I'll take what I can get. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not too shabby at all.

I'm not a fan of wood on the walls either. My house had that when I moved in. When I had work done, we tore it down. Makes the room look much larger.

I love your sofa though! I want a sectional very badly! My problem is that more than half of my den is taken up by my HT setup LOL

So young... So young...

That vacuum cleaner trick works too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

nice simple setup man. do teh vacuum trick for the bigger mains. and then install the grills pronto on all your speakers. should help em a bit.

next, goto radioshack and get one of thoes "cheaper" db meters to set the levels and distances properly. When I first did it, I was blown away with the improvement it made!!!!
